The matchmaker, not the middleman
Fast Local Buyers started with a simple observation about the “we buy houses” industry: the sellers who most need a fast, fair sale are the ones most likely to get a bad one. Distress attracts urgency, urgency attracts predators, and the average homeowner has no practical way to tell a funds-verified professional from a wholesaler shopping their contract — until weeks are gone.
So we built the verification layer ourselves. We maintain a network of local cash buyers across 1,800+ U.S. counties, and every one of them clears the same bar before receiving a single property: documented proof of funds, a verifiable history of completed purchases, and closing conduct we monitor continuously. Buyers who lowball systematically, retrade after agreeing to a price, or fail to close are removed. Their deal flow depends on how they treat you.
We are deliberately not the buyer. A single company claiming to “buy houses anywhere” is either pricing your county from a national spreadsheet or quietly reselling your information. The buyer who pays the most for a tenant-occupied duplex is rarely the one who pays the most for a probate estate — matching each property to the right local specialist is what gets sellers both speed and a defensible price.
Sellers never pay us anything. We're compensated by the buyer network, which means our incentive is simple: match well, so buyers close and sellers say yes. If we've done our job, the offer in your hand survives comparison with every alternative — including listing with an agent, which we'll never discourage you from exploring.
